ARCHAEOLOGICAL CIVIC MUSEUM bologna

MUSEO CIVICO ARCHEOLOGICO

mesopotamia

The Civic Archaeological Museum of Bologna has been home since 1881 in the fifteenth century Palazzo Galvani and presents rich archaeological collections from the ancient University Museum resulting from the donation of the painter Pelagio Palagi and archaeological research carried out in the territory of the city and province of Bologna at the turn of the nineteenth century and XX.
The Museum offers evidence from prehistory to the Roman age and in particular the Etruscan section is fundamental to know the Etruscan civilization of the Po Valley, with the capital Felsina (etruscan name of the current Bologna).
Absolutely valuable and not to be missed is the Egyptian collection, one of the most important in Europe.
Until the middle of 2019 important restoration works will involve the Museum: however, the most interesting collections can still be visited.

HOKUSAI HIROSHIGE. Oltre l’onda.

La mostra HOKUSAI HIROSHIGE. Oltre l’onda.
