MUV 2.0: a new immersive path on the Villanovan civilization in Villanova di Castenaso
Saturday November 14, 2026, at 10:30, the MUV – Museum of Villanovan Civilization of Villanova di Castenaso inaugurates "MUV 2.0 – An Immersive Storytelling on the Villanovans", a new installation that combines archaeological artifacts, tactile reproductions, and digital experiences.
The renovated Gozzadini Hall guides visitors along a timeline dedicated to the history of Emilia-Romagna, from the Bronze Age to the Roman era, telling the story of daily life and funerary rituals through original objects and reproductions to be explored by touch.
Three videos delve into the craftsmanship and customs of the Villanovan era, while two 3D viewers allow visitors to virtually enter an ancient village. The tour continues with an Escape Room in the historic studio of the Counts Gozzadini, where the audience can test themselves by solving archaeological puzzles.
The project was realized thanks to the funding obtained from the Municipality of Castenaso through the regional call for proposals "Digitalization of Cultural Heritage - Digital Humanities", within the framework of the Regional Program FESR Emilia-Romagna 2021-2027.
