Ca' la Ghironda is a Museum Area located in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, in the municipality of Zola Predosa, at the Ponte Ronca site. It is immersed in a 10-hectare park, itself an Open-Air Museum because it is dotted with installations by various contemporary artists, making it a unique landscape absolutely worth visiting.
The internal Museum Area features a pictorial collection ranging from the 1500s to the 1900s, with works by Francesco Francia, the Carracci, Guido Reni, the Guercino, Luca Giordano, and others. In addition to the collection, the Modern Art Museum hosts various temporary exhibitions throughout the year, with a particular focus on Contemporary Art.
The Park features a "Petite" and a "Grand Promenade," in a gentle hilly walk, where more than 200 sculptures by great contemporary artists are present. Not only that: the park is dotted with over 15,000 plants belonging to more than 150 different species that "welcome" the state installations.
The museum complex also includes a Conference Center with a Restaurant and a Resort.
