MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE
The MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE is located in the Fornace Galotti "Battiferro", along the Navile Canal, dating back to 1887 and completely restored in 1997.
The permanent exhibition covers approximately 3,500 m² over three floors and six paths with collections of scientific instruments, models, and machinery belonging to the Aldini-Valeriani Institution.
Attorno al forno, vi sono la sezione dedicata alla Fornace Galotti e alla produzione dei laterizi ed una seconda incentrata sul comparto del packaging.
Sono poi mostrati gli ultimi cinque secoli della capacità produttiva di eccellenza di Bologna , dall'antica produzione della seta che sfruttava una complessa rete di distribuzione delle acque per generare la forza motrice, alla novecentesca produzione meccanica e meccatronica.
Bolognese motorcycles C.M. thirty memorable years 1929-1959
EXHIBITION dedicated to the Bolognese motorcycle brand C.M.
from 2/10/2018 to 6/3/2018
The C.M., founded by Mario Cavedagni, played an important role in the history of Bologna motorcycle racing. With a highly competent management, even with limited resources, it managed to carve out its own space among local and national brands. It met market demands with excellent machines for tourism, sports, and commercial use. It offered models of all displacements with every possible variant, but always with adequate construction criteria, careful and elegant finishes, participating with good results in competitions of the time such as the Milan-Taranto and the Motogiro, the 12 Hours of Imola and the International 6 Days regularity race.
The exhibition can be visited during the museum's opening hours, with admission to the museum, until June 3, 2018.
