MUSEO CIVICO RISORGIMENTO

MUSEO CIVICO RISORGIMENTO

museum of the Risorgimento Bologna

Located on the ground floor of Casa Carducci, the Museo del Risorgimento preserves a collection of over 3000 artifacts related to the period between the French Revolution and the Great War.

Only a small part is exposed to the vision, including about 100 paintings and 70 sculptures in addition to all the material related to military history: uniforms, flags, handkerchiefs, about 700 weapons.

Two other structures, physically separated from the Museum, are also part of the Risorgimento Museum:

  • the Library with approximately 70,000 volumes and a rich collection of books dedicated to the history of Bologna,
  • to the Certosa, the city's monumental cemetery, a true open-air museum.
